South Indian Actress Anupama Parameswaran Takes Legal Action Against Online Abuse

 Actor Anupama Parameswaran has taken legal action against a 20-year-old woman from Tamil Nadu for allegedly sharing morphed images and spreading false claims about her online. In an Instagram post on Sunday, the actress confirmed that she has lodged a complaint with the Kerala Cyber Crime Police.

Anupama explained that she recently discovered an Instagram account posting inappropriate and misleading content about her and her family, even tagging her friends and colleagues.

Upon investigation, it was found that the individual behind the account had created multiple fake profiles to circulate defamatory posts. “These posts contained altered photos and fabricated allegations—it was painful to see such deliberate online harassment,” the actor wrote.

Despite identifying the suspect, Anupama said she has decided not to disclose her name, considering the woman’s young age.
